What’s my Target Market?
Who are you really advertising to?
Don't Be This Guy.
Okay, let's get down to business.
- Demographics (age, gender, education, marital status)
- Behaviors (spending habits, brand interaction)
- Psychographics (what are their values? interests?)
- Geographic (where does this person live? Where do they call home?)
These all need to be taken into consideration when establishing your target market.
To reach your target market, visualize your people.
Let’s say that we have Dave, a white male in his late 30’s. Dave lives in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota and sells insurance for a local agency. Dave is a fun-loving guy and regularly goes camping with his long-term girlfriend, Stacy, in northern Minnesota. Dave and Stacy don’t have kids. Their interests include camping, kayaking, and hanging out with friends.
Dave regularly visits your store to stock up before heading north for the weekend and loves to support local businesses within the community. Since Dave doesn’t have kids, money isn’t an issue for him. He values quality over cost, and knows when he comes to your store he might be paying a little more for the stuff he needs. BUT he knows gear from your store will last much longer than anything bought from a big box store.

That's just one example of a potential target market.
LET'S BUILD SOMETHING AWESOME TOGETHER.
Tell us all about the journey. We’d love to hear about your new mission.
