It’s easy to chase customers. It’s easy to say we sell ___ so you should buy ___. It’s harder to form connections an audience is already looking for, and to think of your products as problem-solvers instead of dollars.
Your customers don’t want to hear about how awesome you are and how many years you’ve been in business. They want to see that you can meet their needs and address pain points without them even having to ask. Instead of pushing a brand, product, or service onto prospects, pull. Draw visitors in by providing educational or entertaining content that welcomes them to engage. Provide insights and solutions that align with their goals so they’re more likely to purchase from you.
And once you have that sale, follow through. Make absolutely sure your customers are not just satisfied, but delighted. A happy customer moves along. A delighted customer leaves reviews and engages on social media. Support and encourage these interactions to prove you care about your clients AND your business.
Sell solutions instead of products. Invite, don’t interrupt!
